

D DAY is here, SAT on Saturday, October 4!!
It is D Day. Our students from Mobay to Kingston are slated to sit their exam this Saturday. Largely, my crew heads to Priory, some AISK/ JC, others, St. Andrew or Mt. Alvernia, Belair or Dinthill. I hear a few schools are trying to become test centers. It would be nice for Heinz Simonitsch as our Mobay office is just next door! What do you need? On Saturday? 1) Your ticket and picture ID 2) Get there by 7:45 am 3) Have your No 2 pencils and excellent erasers, not smudgers

So Sunday was as expected, the first glitches for the first day of classes...all the mistakes to be expected...but we rallied through. Next week Sunday, we will meet at 3 for SAT and not 12. I was ill, classes cancelled last weekend. I am ready to hop back on the horse. Having completed a visit to the CollegeBoard in NY, I came back with a few old tests which I shall give my students. Back to School
The craze has begun. Both in Jamaica, the US and Canada. Really, I should say the world. Despite Covid, we plod on. We search for solutions. We listen to conspiracy theories. We check science. But most importantly, we plod on. Sixth formers now scramble to complete application forms. Write essays, complete resumes, archive portfolios and harness guidance counselors and teachers for their recommendations. The new cohort started class last Sunday, with all its glitches


MIDWEST COLLEGE VIRTUAL FAIRS
During Covid, technology becomes the elephant in the room. If we do not use her well, we cannot survive. So, in normal times, at this time, college consultants tour and visit many college campuses.
