These are sessions in which the applicant receives counseling and guidance on the application process from choosing a list of schools to essay editing, financial aid and visa applications. Students can either pay for the full consultation package, which allows them to schedule unlimited consultations throughout the application year, or do consultations on a pay per session basis.

 

 

PAYMENT

 

We accept only 3-part payments, first part should be paid prior to the beginning of classes; however, if requesting a payment plan, your credit card information will be required and an automatic deduction agreement signed, in order to guarantee sessions.

 

Fees can be paid at the office (card machines are available) or at the  Scotiabank Constant Spring branch (vouchers for payment can be picked up at the office).

 

We accept payment in US dollars or the Jamaican equivalent (determined by the exchange rate for the day).

 

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS/PRICES

 

VERSAN SAT PREP US$1200 (Classes alone) 

Students take classes in Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing. English classes focus on vocabulary, sentence structure, and comprehension. Mathematics classes focus on pre-algebra, algebra, proportion/ratio, geometry, and trigonometry.

•Three-month program - weekly sessions with a blended approach (complimentary rollover to the next cohort)

•Access to Versan's proprietary textbooks and worksheets

•Regular mock exams and practice tests

•Regular parent-teacher meetings

•Average SAT score increase of 200 points from the diagnostic test

 

VERSAN SSAT PREP PACKAGE US$2100


Students prepare for the boarding school admissions exam through practice in verbal, quantitative, and reading comprehension sections. The 3-month course covers SSAT creative story writing, number concepts, algebra, geometry/measurement and data analysis/probability.  

VERSAN ACT PREP   US$ 1200 (Classes alone)
Students prepare for the ACT exam, which includes English, Mathematics, Writing and Science sections. Students focus on data/graph analysis, concepts in mathematics, vocabulary, and comprehension. In addition, the course covers the optional Essay Writing section of the exam.


VERSAN GRE- Classes alone US$1700; Classes with consultation US$3200
Graduate applicants taking the GRE will focus on Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. Students will practice analysis of written documents, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and analytical writing.


VERSAN GMAT- Classes alone US$1700; Classes with consultation US$3200
The GMAT has four main divisions: Analytical Writing, Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning. Students study the Argument task, data sufficiency questions, problem solving questions, tabular and graphical interpretation, critical reasoning, reading comprehension and sentence correction.

VERSAN LSAT- Classes alone US$1850; Classes with consultation US$3350
Students taking the LSAT are trained to tackle Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, an Experimental section and a Writing Sample. The course trains students to evaluate arguments, apply logic to complex situations and draw inferences from written passages.

•Refunds are not permissible once classes have started.
•Payments plans are available for classes and consultation.
•Students are responsible for registering for exams themselves

•Exam fees are not included in the tuition fee and are subject to change.

For students who are in Second to Fourth Form

•Meet up to three times with students and/ or parents. Provide advice on course selection
•Provide recommendation on extracurricular/ summer activities
•Assist in creating as timeline for SAT/ACT testing
•Discuss how to make their high school experience successful

 

PACKAGE 2: "COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING” CONSULTATION PACKAGE US$1100

•For students in Fifth Form or Lower Sixth Form

•·Intake and assessment for selection of schools/ universities
•-Provide a selected list of schools that is ultimately suited to the student
•·Recommendations for extracurricular involvement· testing recommendations (SAT or ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT) ·   Editing of both common application essays and statement of purpose
•·Up to 4 hours of editing supplemental essays
•·Review of applications
•·Recommendations and preparation for college/graduate school review
•·Financial guidance
•·Help with making final choice when decision letters are received
•-Student visa progress guide
•Advice on final school/university selection after letters of offer are received.

PACKAGE 3 “IN A HURRY” CONSULTATION PACKAGE US$ 950  

 •For students who enter late into the process in Upper Sixth Form 

•Meeting up to five times with student and/ or parents

•Provide a timeline for final year     

•Intake and assessment for selection of schools/ colleges/university

•Editing of both common application essays and one supplemental essay

•Provide guidance for the financial aid scholarship process
