IT IS STUDENT VISA TIME AND GRADUATIONS!

Yes, we are at that time of the year. Graduation ceremonies, virtually, I might add. many invitations to Zoom platforms to watch ceremonies. What has this world come to under Covid? All classes are virtual. Caps and Gowns? Yes, but you walk without the thunderous applause of an auditorium... But still a great accomplishment, years of study completed.

Congratulations.

I will watch a few of my invitations to Zoom platforms in the upcoming week and cheer the students on.

VISAS

You can use our office to process your student visas. What will we need? Call us for the details. There are handouts at the office. But first things first, ensure your passports are up to date. Get passport size photos at Bryan's photo studio. Have enough on credit card for the embassy fees. Know the full amount required. Bring your I-20 form to the meeting, along with acceptance letter.

Talk soon.

Hello Sandra,

Did you hear the news? The University of Miami will remain test optional for students applying for Spring and Fall 2022. What does this mean? Your students will be able to decide if they want to submit SAT and/or ACT scores with their application.

We hope the extension of test-optional admission will relieve some of the stress surrounding the application process.

If applicants opt not to submit test scores, that decision will not make them any less likely to be admitted or receive scholarship awards. The University of Miami’s holistic admission review process considers all aspects of the application, including extracurricular activities and letters of recommendation. In addition, there will be a supplemental essay component to our Common Application.

I encourage you to share this message with your juniors and their parents. They are invited to join us for an upcoming LIVE Admission Information Session to ask questions about our test-optional admission process, academics, or community. In the meantime, they can also visit our Test Optional page for frequently asked questions or contact their admission counselor.

We look forward to partnering with you, year after year, to help each of your students find their individual path. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us.
