The SAT, SSAT exams are three weeks away. I forgot to add the LSAT as well. I have remained somewhat silent on the social media as I am bogged down by the editing of essays, financial aid forms, final lists of colleges, tax forms, preparation for the boarding school fair, hosting colleges who have visited our shores (Vassar, Bowdoin, Wellesley, Lafayette, Selkirk) that I have not been able to keep up with the minions on the Whatsapp Messenger.

My thoughts are still with you all.

Next week is our Caribbean Boarding School Fair 2017. I just want to reiterate this is a fair for those who are 12-16 years old. Should I see one SAT student show up for this fair, my belt will be out and you will receive a shellacking for having just shown up.

It is best to drop them off and leave. Wise. Otherwise, you will make them nervous in their nice Sunday suits and then all hell will break loose as you all fight to see how they are conducting themselves in the interview hall. GO BACK TO WORK!!!! They will be fine. Just leave them with lunch money. We have someone who will go and get their lunches. Please note Montegonians, your fair is at a different time, so ignore the preceding message.

Kingston has its fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 16.(Stella Maris Auditorium)

Montego Bay goes from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. You arrive after school and parents are allowed in. (Hilton Rose Hall)

There is another Boarding School Fair being held at the PEGASUS. You are all free to attend. It is a different format. Ours is a sit down, formal affair, private interview. The one at the Pegasus is a walk-in, stroll around fair. Not my style. But I hold no one back from attending.

To my "posse" in Ocho Rios, they know who they are (smile) - please remember the dates for all the children in the Towers!!!

SAT books and dictionaries arrived, largely sold, Mandeville placed their orders. A few still left. I do hope all registrations are in order...(SAT, SSAT, LSAT, GMAT?????) Need I say more?

This cohort, save the Thursday group have all caught on to the Essay, lucky me! They are also intelligently attuned to the rigors of the exam. No bawling, yet????for Maths. Good omen. Bodes well for December's exam.

The new semester for the March exam will begin in January. Those doing this exam will be eligible to do it then and still leave in August if they are going to attend schools in the South. They have rolling admission and can accommodate the March result. Those up North, not likely!

So you did not like your SAT score but you have great CAPE and CXC scores, as well as a fantastic transcript, check out the Whatsapp group for those juicy details.
