CHAMPION STUDENT WEDNESDAY BLOG

Today is Ash Wednesday in Jamaica. We salute Bernie Sander's victory. Did I hear free education? I like the political revolution. Anytime a politician promises education for all taxing Wall Street, I am all ears. Too many students turned away from a decent education for lack of funds. I salute Hakeem Angulu for his victorious acceptances that came against all odds. We know he was desperately sought after when he got the Principal's award at Choate Rosemary in 11 th grade, an award only granted in 12th grade. He joined the choir, the debate team, aided the poor who lived off Mexico's dumpsters, assisted the youths in the democratic campaign process....the list would fill pages of any ambitious student's resume.

Congrats, Hakeem, you made MIT, Yale and Harvard in one fell swoop. And the list of future acceptances appear not to be flagging. Kudos..... ACCEPTANCES Danielle Hall - USF Jason Lawson - WPI Cheyenne Benwarisingh- John Carroll University/ Manhattanville Hakeem Angulu - Harvard/ Yale Barbados Oh these students are on fire! APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENSION:

Dear friends,

With our February 15 regular decision application deadline quickly approaching, I wanted to inform you that an extension for international students has been granted by the Vice President for Enrollment. Taking into consideration the delays and cancellations from testing agencies this year, we wanted to give your international students the opportunity to complete their Juniata College application.

The new application deadline for international students is

Friday, April 1, 2016

Our application is free, and we don’t require SAT/ACT scores for admission or scholarship consideration. We offer all admitted international students between $10,000 - $25,000 per year in scholarships, plus need-based grants for those who qualify. Please let me know if you have any questions, or would like to know that status of any of your students!

Sincerely,

Rylan Good
