Within a week, the first batch of students will sit the NEW SAT on May 7th. I do hope they will have read prodigiously, practiced night and day, scoured all literary magazines recommended...oooh, if wishes were horses.
I know that most, if not all students, use the first as the "teaser", then suddenly, the second time and third time around, we see the climb...the surge towards a perfect score.
If I were to hand a test to the current batch, I fear that the responses I would receive are:
"The Maths, Miss, I don't know...."
"Not enough time to complete all 4 passages..."
"I ran out of time, period!"
"I should have spent more time preparing".....
So please use these few remaining days to cement the weak areas and forge ahead.
Mock exam is this Friday at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. for others....
Having received pictures from our own Joshua in Hawaii....I quite like the concept of tagging turtles at night whilst they sleep as they cannot see.the wet.suits late at night. This program is one of the flag ship programs at Hawaii Prep. Great school.
Sapphire, is one of our young ladies in Barbados, who will be sitting her exam this Saturday.
One of our older girls made it into Montana State for architecture.
Barbados continues to shine unheralded.
We have to honour the hard work of Mr. Michael Pascal who has mastered the Boarding School process. He has garnered a number of healthy scholarships. May he continue to prevail against the economic odds.
The exam is this Saturday. GOOD LUCK my students. Please get to AISK by 8:00 am.
The blog this week takes a hiatus from sending out much information. I had to attend the memorial of my ex-husband. A nice affair-all his songs, friends in the music fraternity. He would have liked it.
I wish to congratulate the record number of placements to: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Brown, UPenn, Stanford, UChicago, Dartmouth, Cornell......realize we got all the Ivies. Record achievement.
To our students in India - good show!
To our students in Dominica's SSAT group: record scholarships!
To our students in NY - wow! (Go Bernie, Go Bernie- the primary is coming your way, so go out and vote my 18 y-o's!)

Next week, I will highlight all the names, I am just drained from the day's proceedings. Tomorrow...
