Welcome back from the Easter break. April connotes spring...a rejuvenation of.mind, spirit and determination to beat the approaching exams.Ms. Neil, our Social Media guru, has made a few.changes to the website. So we assure you that there will be more involvement on the Twitter, Instagram, Facebook ....Thursday is D Day for the Ivy Schools responses....fingers crossed.
This week’s post comes with some important updates and many hearty congratulations:
Congrats to Jason Sherman, captain of the Campion College Schools’ Challenge Quiz Team on the team’s latest victory over St. Jago High. It was a superbly played match, and the victory was well deserved. All the best in the Grand Finale!
Those students who haven’t received any acceptances should make an appointment with Ms. Bramwel...
This is a somber blog, I wish to say farewell to my ex- husband who passed on from a serious fight with the Big C. He fought a good fight. He was instrumental in the early days of Versan, driving me from school to school to spread the good word. May he rest in peace.
For those who did not know, his name was Jimmy Riley.
GO BERNIE, GO! I just love the underdog.....

The scholarships are mighty and full, the acceptances wonderful, but MIT, not once, twice, but thrice, anyone else?
One year, maybe 10-15 years ago, MIT accepted 9 boys from our program, it seems they are right back where they started. Any other takers.
And as for the news of surprises, there is a boarding school that has been recently ranked number 1 by The Forbes Magazine, it is The Putney School in Vermont. Well, one of our SSAT students got in.....aren't we just elated by this maelstrom of good news.
Even our youngest applicant of 9 years made it into his boarding school.....Go, Suraj....
ACCEPTANCES THIS WEEK
(One of our consultees, though we do not lay claim to her getting in) Janique Lee
As we get through March, the list will grow longer. We are heartened by these acceptances. We know the stress of filling out applications, filing financial aid forms.....so when one gets that glorious thick envelope or that halcyon "Congratulations" email opener....we recognize and can sense the sigh of relief.
For those getting the dark days of thin envelopes, or we regret to inform you of how competitive the year was......well, chin up, there is always Plan B. We at Versan know how to do that effectively.
Sean Mullings - Florida International University
Megan Folks - Seton Hall University
Natanya Campbell - USF (University of South Florida)
Elections are over. My true blue candidate Bernie Sanders took a shellacking but still came out with 4 states. Go Bernie! Speak truth to power and the revolution will come, maybe not this year, but certainly, the articulate minority is losing ground to the overt majority of Trumpians. Oh dear.....I watch this US election closely. Why not Hillary? She will prevail, and I sincerely hope, she is ready for the mudslinging from Trump. I hope she can handle it. But I will remain a Bernie girl forever. Fight on, Bernie. Wasn't Chris Rock just glorious at the Academy Award Ceremony. Black representation, phenomenally done.
One of my students at a noted boarding school is facing a tiff of racism....so she called me...My response. Fight...
