I am truly sorry for the late hour of this blog. But my time and energy were devoted to the budding SSAT students who sit the exam this Saturday.
Oh how they have worked hard and slaved over their studies, learnt words that could parallel those of the SAT group and oh boy, I wish them luck this Saturday. Do not forget your IDs, tickets, pencils, a bottle of water and something to eat.
SSAT students, do not forget you are no longer neophytes in the scheme of this exam. Stay focussed, have your wits about you, manage your time well and by Jove, laugh right through the exam. Tristan, please do not be skittish and disturb the others nor ask the proctor any ill-advised questions to interrupt the flow of the others in the exam.
Congrats to our Montego Bay Rochelle Foster who made it to Darrow School on a wonderful scholarship!
I was happy to hear from those who are in Maine and Massachusetts at their boarding schools and had left in the midst of winter to pick up their scholarships - it was good to hear from you all and to know you were happy to be where you were.
I overheard a conversation on the radio today and noticed that the interviewee said that parents should note that lives are ruined, if not, destroyed when students are sent away to boarding school too early.
At Versan, we can certainly tell a different story.
SAT
Congrats to Kyle Hamilton who made it into Illinois Institute of Technology.
To the two who made it into University of South Florida - Elizabeth Lee and Latoya Scott.
LSAT
To my LSAT students, set your goals high and congrats to Robyn Lym who has scored three big internships for the summer. Go Robyn, you still listen to your old teacher!
Wedding Bells
I will not mention the names but I see two past Versan students are about to wed and really, if I look at Versan's history, I realize that this could not be a happier moment. I had better get the weight lost and the fashionable dress out....
And for three others looming on the horizon, wow!
And to my dinner mates of always who keep the Parent's Circle open and filled with laughter at Chez Marie, please note this is an enriching and enlightening moment for us all whenever we meet.
See you all next week...And to Sonia Kerr who was an invaluable help during our tumultous season of employee temps, we salute you and all that you did for Versan Educational Services.
