YAAY OBAMA VICTORY WEDNESDAY BLOG

Well, well, well....the teflon wannabe presidential hopeful made several blunders....tee-hee!  Obama, thanks for full preparation this time, knew you could do it.  Sat in the audience at Hofstra and watched the sucker punches.  Whew!  Obama saved the day, Biden reinforced it and Clinton sealed it...  What can I say, Democrats all the way!

Now on to the business of education...

NEW SCHOOLS TO RESEARCH

College of New Rochelle: CSI path?  In love with blood splatters and adventures in Chemistry?  Add this one to the list or email: darobinson@cnr.edu.

Worcester Polytechnc University will be here on October 29th and she wants to meet the Versan students privately - on October 29th from 4:30 p.m. or Tuesday / Wednesday morning ...please email her to book your spot...ecox@wpi.edu.  (This is a Co-op school, heavily geared towards engineering and the sciences.)

Those applying to MIT, it is time to make contact with MIT for the name of the representative who interviews for the school.  Go to Admissions and ask by email so you can do your personal interview in Jamaica. 

  Those applying to Drew University, go to drew.edu/cla/scholarships for your scholarship information and get those done asap!  Deadlines are February 1 , but please note that "the early bird catches the worm."

Clarion University in PA, has wonderful programs in Nursing, Business, Applied Technology and award 80% of their 7000 student strong institution scholarships.  Seek and ye will find.

Smith College, an all-women's in MA, always gets my vote on graduating strong women in Public Policy, Education, Linguistics, and the Sciences.  Great scholarships.

I like St. Michael's College in Vermont.  56% female and 44% male, 43% international students,student to faculty ratio of 12:1, faculty with terminal degree: 93%, all students are automatically considered for merit-based aid...Specialties - Pharmacy, Physical Therapy Program, Engineering, an MBA program, a Law program...one of my faves, a cool school atmosphere...learning is fun...

Valparaiso University in Indiana for my Music Education buffs, Nursing, Economics and International Business...

The Catholic University of America (based in Washington, DC) has a School of Engineering, School of Music, Nursing, Philosophy, Architecture and Planning as well as a General Arts and Sciences program...one to watch!Minimum GPA requirement 3.8, SAT 2100 or 32 on ACT.

Antioch College seeks bold, imaginative, creative students who can handle the rigors of  a high-quality educationThe Horace Mann Fellowship awards a full tuition scholarship for 4 years...a great undiscovered gem in Yellow Springs, OH.
